Cefepime

• Fourth generation cephalosporin antibiotic and has an extended spectrum of activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, with greater activity both types of organism than third-generation agents 
• Commonly used in nosocomial infections
• Highly effective against infections caused by multiple drug-resistant microorganisms

Tazobactam

• A beta lactamase inhibitor and prevents the interaction of the enzyme
• with the antibiotic molecule
• In such a way it extends the spectrum of cefepime
